Family

"Someone has taken the floor from my feet; with nothing to hold onto, I let myself fall onto the undulating black plane..."

The Family discourse of the popcycle consists of three micronarratives recounting early childhood memories. These anecdotes serve to establish the home environment and atmosphere foundational to my worldview through the use of Roland Barthes’s concept of the punctum, or the sensory details that ‘sting’ the memory.

One of these narrative scenes will be revisited in conjunction with the Entertainment discourse to discern the patterns therein that will lead to my wide image.
